Our God of Light

Tulips (mmcdonnell)One only needs to be in complete darkness for a short time to understand how valuable just a little light can be.  From the earliest of times, light was viewed as so precious that it often was symbolized as a god or with special spiritual power.

After God had created the earth with its water His next creation was light (Genesis 1:3).  Light not only created the difference between night and day with the sun, but He created the moon and stars to provide a subtle but effective “nightlight.”

Psalms 8:3-5 (p. 867) tells us that mankind is really nothing when we look into the universe.  We cannot see but a fraction of the sky even with the greatest of all telescopes.  And God created it all.  So, we should ask, who is mankind to question God about anything?

Baby Dedication

img_19251On your journey through life, as you are lost, you will need to pull the car over. If you wish, you could just keep driving; God will let you go your own way in life. However, God encourages those who come to Him to find their way. There is no other path that can truly lead your way (John 14:6, p.1703). You cannot earn it by doing good deeds or being nice to other people (Ephesians 2:8-9, p.1855).

So, to follow God in your life’s journey there are four things you must do. Follow this map ……

For those of you who are joining us as prayer partners for our ministry I’d like to share some of what’s been going on in our community recently.  The end of the school year was busy for many families, but God has answered our prayers in keeping us safe both spiritually and physically.
