Baby Dedication

img_19251On your journey through life, as you are lost, you will need to pull the car over. If you wish, you could just keep driving; God will let you go your own way in life. However, God encourages those who come to Him to find their way. There is no other path that can truly lead your way (John 14:6, p.1703). You cannot earn it by doing good deeds or being nice to other people (Ephesians 2:8-9, p.1855).

So, to follow God in your life’s journey there are four things you must do. Follow this map ……

1. Orient yourself: Admit that you are lost. You have hurt yourself, other people, and God by sinning (we have all lied and done all sorts of things you knew God didn’t want you to do).

(Romans 3:23-26, p.1780)

2. Roll down your car window: He can’t hear you unless you talk to Him (otherwise known as prayer). Tell Him you are sorry (called repentance) for what you have done that was wrong and ask Him to forgive you. Hint: He will. Oh, by the way, you need to tell Him also you won’t do it again (Luke 13:5, p.1646).

3. Trust and believe in your compass: there is much beyond this lifetime and to make it through this gate you need to fully believe and love our Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (God). He is all powerful, all knowing, and reigns supreme over all things (John 3:16-17, p.1677).

4. Open your door and let Him in: when you pray, ask Jesus into your life so that He can become your personal savior (Romans 10:9-13, p.1791). God then isn’t your co-pilot. Rather, let Him drive. He will get you home safely.
