Thank You to This Rock Baptist Church!

We would like to thank Reverend Al and members of This Rock Baptist Church from Ann Arbor for joining us for our gathering today!  We were very blessed by your presence and teaching and worship songs you shared.

Every month that has a fifth Sunday, we at The Relational Church like to join up with other local churches to worship and fellowship together.  Through these experiences we stay united with the greater church and are reminded of God’s work throughout our community.

War: What Is It Good For?

Genesis 6:1-5, Exodus 20:13 and Joshua 1:12-18

Since the earliest of times mankind has declared war on themselves. War is another word for mass killings. Under the banner of territory (land), God (religion), or for money (greed), mankind has wiped out villages, nations and peoples. Young, old, armies, and the injured, the key in battle often is to remove the enemy.

The question is how does God feel about war. Are soldiers who fight in wars committing sin to do so? Does God ever approve of war? Would He only want us to be pacifists?

Focusing on God’s Presence

Genesis 28:10-17

… 16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” 17 But he was also afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”

How Men and Women Think Differently

Titus 2:1-8

1 As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.   2 Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.

3 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good.  4 These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children,  5 to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.
