Mission
Obey God, Fulfill the Great Commission, Be Like Christ:
The Relational Church has a three-fold focus that will direct us to lead each other to find and mature in our personal relationships with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. First, we will listen to and obey our God by Biblically led meditation, prayer, and faith. Secondly, we will teach those who attend our church to love others as Christ loved us by teaching all to be compassionate, forgiving, and repentant in our fulfillment of the Great Commission. Lastly, but not least, we will teach peace and joy not by mere words but by demonstrating our conduct and attitudes to be fully Christ-like in all our relationships.
Our Core Values:
1. PRAYER
With humble and thoughtful hearts we have revealed on our hearts God’s faithful mission and personal direction for those who are faithful to His will.
2. THE BIBLE
This provides God’s evidential proclamation that is fully accurate and complete in directing us through this lifetime and into His kingdom for eternity.
3. EVANGELISM
Inviting others to know, love, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior is the mission we all have received by our God. Our mission field is reaching out to all people to find new believers and restore the faithful.
4. DISCIPLESHIP
Accepting Christ is only the very beginning of our life with God as we need to fully mature in prayer, worship, and Scripture so that our personal character becomes as that of our Lord. We must forgive others as the Lord forgives us, “repent for the kingdom of God is near,” and joyfully respond to God’s will in all things, especially in times of severe testing.
5. FELLOWSHIP
Everyday we live is a blessing. We need to respond outwardly that blessing by being joyful, loving, and passionate in how we love others as Christ has loved us.
6. DIVERSITY
We are all sinners. As a church, we need to know that none of us are righteous by our own conduct. Thus, we need to open our hearts and minds in love to embracing all whom the Lord calls to us regardless of whether they are poor, of different ethnic or religious origin, or have struggled with sin.
7. ECUMENICAL
Our “church” is not one of walls but is the sanctified hearts of all believers.Denominational differences will not keep us from loving the faithful. Only Satan enjoys creating division between Christians.
8. COMMUNION
Sharing in the Lord’s Supper and Holy Communion is open to all who believe in the Lord. The elements of juice and bread are to act for a remembrance of what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. At our church, we will conduct Holy Communion with sufficient time, reflective meditation, and Biblical explanation to its important meaning.
9. BAPTISM
This act is open to all who profess their faith. We celebrate by the immersion in water representing our death to this world and our rising into the Lord’s union.
